Cargoway checks your route for you

When you plan a route, Cargoway checks these bans against your truck’s weight and axles and the time you’ll actually reach each country, breaks under Regulation (EC) 561/2006 included. If a ban catches you, you’ll know before you set off.

        Frequently asked questions

Which trucks do the bans apply to?

It depends on the country: in most of them, goods vehicles over 7.5 t; in Poland, over 12 t; in Switzerland and Portugal, from 3.5 t. Each country shows its threshold above its calendar.

        Are there exemptions?

Yes. Perishable goods, live animals, empty runs, combined transport and other cases are often exempt, and the conditions change from country to country. Check the official source linked for each country before relying on an exemption.

What time are the hours in?

In each country’s local time. A ban from 22:00 in Poland starts at 22:00 Warsaw time, whatever time your phone shows.

How up to date is this calendar?

We review the official sources every month and publish the dates for the coming months. It is the same calendar the Cargoway app uses, so what you see here is what the app checks on your route.
