Acceptance

By using Cargoway you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

What Cargoway is, and what it is not

Cargoway is a planning aid you use before setting off. It is not a navigation system, it does not give turn-by-turn guidance, and it does not replace the judgement of a professional driver.

Routes and restrictions are guidance, not a guarantee

This is the most important clause in this document. Please read it.

  • Routes are computed from OpenStreetMap open data. A bridge height, a weight limit or a tunnel restriction may be missing, outdated or wrong in that data.
  • Road signs always prevail over anything the app shows. If the sign and the screen disagree, the sign is right.
  • The driving time and rest calculation is an aid for planning under Regulation (EC) 561/2006. It does not cover weekly or fortnightly limits, weekly rest, crew driving or work other than driving. Your tachograph is the legal record, not this app.
  • You remain solely responsible for complying with traffic law, with the restrictions applicable to your vehicle and its load, and with driving and rest time rules.

Account and eligibility

Calculating routes requires an account. You must be at least 18 years old and use the app for professional or personal transport purposes. You are responsible for keeping your account secure, and for everything done through it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service in a way that circumvents the free tier limits, or that generates automated traffic.
  • Extract, resell or redistribute the route data the app produces as if it were your own service.
  • Reverse engineer the app to obtain the credentials of the services it uses.

Free tier and paid plans

The free tier includes a limited number of routes per day and shows advertising. Paid plans, when available, are billed through the App Store or Google Play, renew automatically unless cancelled, and are managed from your store account. Cancellations and refunds follow the policy of the store you bought from, not ours.

Map data and attribution

Route calculation and geographic data come from OpenStreetMap and openrouteservice, and are used under their licences. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License.

Availability

We try to keep Cargoway working, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption. It depends on third-party services that may fail, change or disappear. The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for fines, delays, damage to vehicle or cargo, or any other loss arising from decisions taken on the basis of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Termination

You can stop using Cargoway and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is substantial we will announce it inside the app before it takes effect.
