How to delete your Cargoway account

You can delete your account and all your data yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute. You do not need to contact us.

From the app

Open Cargoway, signed in with your account, and:

  1. Go to the My profile tab, the last one in the bottom bar.
  2. On your account card, tap the “…” button (Account options) and choose Delete my account.
  3. To confirm, type the email address shown (or DELETE if your account has no email) and tap Delete permanently. The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
  4. If you signed in with Apple, the app asks you to confirm with Apple once more: that is how we revoke Cargoway’s access to your Apple ID.

The option only appears while you are signed in. Without an account nothing is stored on our servers, and uninstalling the app removes everything.

Only want to remove some of your data? In the app you can delete any saved vehicle and any trip from your history at any time, without deleting your account. For anything else, write to info@cargoway.app and we will delete it.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account erases, immediately and permanently:

  • Your account and its sign-in credential.
  • Your saved vehicles and their specifications.
  • Your route history.
  • Your cached routes and your usage counters.
  • The same data stored on your device.

What is not deleted

Your app preferences —language, units and theme— stay on the device, because they do not identify you. Uninstalling the app removes them. Anonymous, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you are also retained. If you bought a subscription, your purchase record belongs to Apple or Google and is governed by their terms; deleting your Cargoway account does not cancel a subscription.

If you no longer have the app

Write to info@cargoway.app from the email address of the Google or Apple account you signed in with. We will verify it is you and delete the account within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
